Welcome to Naturley in Fruition, a family owned and operated farmette and apiary. Located among the rolling hills of Hancock, Maryland, our 25 acre property features hundreds of native and domestic berry bushes, trees, and plants that may be consumed and utilized for sustenance and holistic treatments. With numerous beautiful resting spaces and miles of well maintained hiking trails to observe our woods and wildlife, our farmette is a peaceful haven that overlooks the Potomac River and the wild, wonderful mountains of West Virginia.
Shortly after acquiring our property in late 2023, we began the hard work of building our dream homestead and future together. In the Spring of 2024, we planted 60+ berry bushes and trees to include elderberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, mulberries, crabapples, and persimmons. Many of the berries were planted with the goal of utilizing for future preparation of natural foods and holistic supplements. The trees were primarily planted to support the deer and other wildlife populations on and around our property, yet will also provide delicious treats for us and our loved ones.
In May 2024, we brought 2 beehives to our farmette and added another in June. Our first year of beekeeping has been filled with learning from mentors, formally and informally, in effort to keep our honey bees happy and healthy and well prepared to survive the winter. We have thoroughly enjoyed learning about and getting to know our hard-working honey bees! Our goals are to at least double our hive count each year over the next 5 to 10 years and utilize the raw honey to distribute locally as well as produce health supplements including Elderberry syrup and berry/herbal infused honeys.
We have scoured our property, located, and foraged an abundance of what many people would consider ‘weeds,’ yet have amazing medicinal properties, such as plantain, yucca, mullein, and mint. We have also built several raised garden beds and begun growing other well-known plants with medicinal traits such as wild lettuce, yarrow, borage, calendula, valerian, and cayenne peppers.

Rob still works full time away from home, yet always provides unconditional support at home even after long work days. He is often working on various building and clean up projects and engages in all of the general hard work required to support our home, property, livestock, and pets that roam inside and out. Working hard together with support from our sons, family, and friends, we are bringing our dreams to fruition and eager to share all that we have to enjoy and offer with our loved ones and our community.
