Directions for use:
It is common for new aloe plants, otherwise known as aloe pups, to grow within the pot. When they’ve grown enough to establish their own root systems, you may remove them to re-pot for yourself or to share. When you replant your pup, allow it to sit for about 1 week in new soil before watering it for the first time.
If your aloe appears visibly crowded or your plant is tipping over the pot, it’s time to re-home it. When doing so, we suggest using a slightly larger, well-draining planter and succulent soil mix to re-pot it.

Turkey tail mushroom, or Trametes versicolor, has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its powerful medicinal properties. Turkey tail has well-documented uses for supporting immune function, reducing inflammation, improving gut health, and enhancing the efficacy of cancer treatments. The typical doses utilized in studies we’ve found online suggests a standard daily dose of 2-3 grams of turkey tail or 2-3 mL daily.
Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking the medicinal parts of plants in a solvent like alcohol to extract a greater spectrum of the plant, concentrate them as a liquid, and preserve the medicinal qualities longer than an infusion or a decoction.
Our Turkey Tail Tincture is prepared using a dual extraction method. First, we soak the turkey tail mushrooms in 80 proof vodka for 8-10 weeks, then soak them in hot water for 24 hours; these 2 extracts are then blended at a 3:1 ratio (alcohol extract to water extract). When preparing herbal tinctures, herbalists would typically use one or the other method; however, for mushrooms, there are benefits to doing a double extraction. The water extracts the beta-glucans and polysaccharides, while alcohol pulls out triterpenes..
Turkey tail contains polysaccharides such as PSK and PSP that enhance immune system function. Multiple studies have shown turkey tail to improve immune response in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Paul Stamets is a leading researcher in mushroom science and has many articles and videos on-line highlighting the many benefits of mushrooms to humans and our environment, which we highly recommend.
In addition to immunomodulating effects, turkey tail also exhibits anti-tumor properties. Research indicates turkey tail polysaccharides can inhibit tumor growth and even induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells. Other beneficial bioactive compounds found in turkey tail include antioxidants, sterols, and triterpenoids. Turkey tail is also prebiotic and supports a healthy gut microbiome, which hosts the majority of our immune system.
